Commercial Market Manager

This position is based out of our Evanston, IL headquarters. The selected candidate will work cross-functionally with the Executive team, Sales counterparts, Engineering, and other departments to execute market strategy to deliver increased OEM sales at existing customers, develop new customers, and provide customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for all sales and account management activities for assigned vehicle OEM accounts reporting to VP of Marketing and Sales.
  • Plan and coordinate travel to assigned OEMís to promote CENís product line, power management solutions, and provide on-site customer support.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend industry Trade Shows and Conferences.
  • Champion customer and market driven projects collaborating with the customerís Engineering team and CEN Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.
  • Prepare quotations and correspondence as required to assigned OEM customers
  • Develop yearly sales plan and manage customer forecasts in MRP system.

Requirements

  • Bachelorís or an Associate Degree coupled with a minimum of 3 years of business to business sales and/or account management experience, preferred.
  • Up to 20% overnight travel will be required, may include weekend travel. Limited international travel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Proven organizational, business planning, and project management skills essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and previous experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Selling experience to Original Equipment Manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture and power generation.
  • High mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and present technical concepts.



Military Account Manager

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all Military sales and marketing related activities reporting to the Global Military Manager.
  • Travel to Prime Contractors, OEMs, and government facilities in the US and internationally to promote CENís product line, power management solutions, and provide on-site customer support.
  • Manage/coordinate assigned Domestic and International customer accounts.
  • Participate in all trade show activity including assistance with coordinating registration, booth setup, teardown, and shipment back to CEN.
  • Initiate customer driven design project collaborating with the customerís Engineering team and CEN Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.
  • Prepare written quotations in response to Requests for Quotations.
  • Review technical specifications and standards.
  • Review Prime Contractor terms and conditions for purchase orders and contracts.
  • Maintain product forecasts in the MRP system.

Requirements

  • The preferred qualified applicant should have advanced knowledge of military ground vehicles or heavy-duty off-road vehicle platforms.
  • Fleet Management, vehicle Program Management, or vehicle Maintenance Management experience.
  • BA/BS or Associate Degree coupled with a minimum of 4 years of sales or marketing experience with a demonstrated success of driving sales will be considered in lieu of some of the vehicle level requirements.
  • 20% to 30% travel required, including some weekends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience calling on and presenting technical information to Prime Contractors and OEMs.
  • Electrical or electro-mechanical, vehicle based power generation, vehicle management, and/or maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks and or projects simultaneously, coordinating tasks and projects from conception to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of MRP Systems.
